How long does nicotine stay in the blood stream and for how long is it measurable in the urine?
Answer
Nicotine is metabolised fairly quickly and, depending on the initial dose, would probably be undetectable in the body within a day or two. However, a test more commonly done to see if someone has been smoking or is a smoker is the cotinine test and can be positive for two weeks after the last cigarette.
